SPEAKING · TECHNIQUE GUIDE
Describe Image
Prioritize the main message and a few useful comparisons in a controlled response.
What to look for
- Image/chart type and topic
- Overall trend or dominant feature
- Two or three meaningful values/comparisons
Decision process
- Identify the subject immediately
- State the main pattern
- Add the strongest supporting observations
- Finish cleanly instead of listing every number
Common traps
- Reading every label
- Inventing causes not shown
- Using a long template that leaves little room for image content
Apply it
Topic → overall pattern → strongest comparison → second observation → concise close.
Now try it on your own sentence.
