Re-order Paragraph
Find the independent opener, reference chains, logical pairs and connector relationships.
What to look for
- A sentence that can stand without prior context
- Pronouns and demonstratives that point backward
- Chronology, cause/effect and noun-to-pronoun pairs
Decision process
- Find likely independent opening sentences
- Pair dependent sentences with what they refer to
- Build strong local pairs before arranging the whole paragraph
- Read the final order for topic progression
Common traps
- Starting with “this/these/he/they” without a referent
- Ordering by repeated vocabulary alone
- Treating every connector as an opener
Apply it
Introduce the noun first; a later sentence can then refer to it as “this approach” or “it”.
Now try it on your own sentence.
